not hypoallergenic – I bought this for son’s confirmation gift. He was actually very excited to receive it and has been wearing it a lot of the last 4 months. So the durability is pretty good (as he’s rough on his stuff!). But he has eczema, so sensitive skin (pretty mild though), and he did break out around his neck from the chain.
