I love this jewelry case! – I mainly used it to organize rings and earrings, but the compartments are big enough where you could use them for chains, necklaces, non-bangle bracelets, pins, etc. Multiple earring pairs can fit in each of the lower compartments, so I have them grouped in themes, like music, Easter, Christmas, etc. It also includes a mirror on the inside of the lid.

That would be the drawback with taking the box on travel where weight is an issue. The container is also a bit larger than desired, mainly the height, which is greater than 2″. It just takes up more room in a drawer or travel case. Love, love the many slots that hold my rings and the compartmented lower section to store companion earrings and pendants. This container is mainly for storing my jewelry at home. I would take a smaller set of items in lighter container or pouch(es) when traveling.
