The jewelry box was a beautiful soft pink and the material was a soft leathery feel. as well. When opened it had a secure ribbon hinge to prevent the lid from falling backwards. The inside was a soft velvet like cream cover with many compartments, earring holders ( extras were provided) and places to hang necklaces with a pocket to catch the chain. The jewelry box also came with keys. I was very pleased with this purchase.
